Giuseppe Accaputo

I'm a Machine Learning Engineer and Educator who enjoys building distributed systems, working with machine learning, and teaching people how to code.

As a Machine Learning Engineer at Sanitas Krankenversicherung, I combine software engineering and machine learning to build GenAI applications and intelligent document processing solutions, and to continuously evaluate and improve them.

As an Educator, I lecture in Software Engineering and Machine Learning at the HWZ University of Applied Sciences and teach Python Programming at the University of Zurich. Most of my classes are aimed at beginners. I focus on clear explanations and encourage students to ask questions whenever something is unclear. As a first-generation university graduate, I know how valuable an approachable teacher can be. I try to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking for help, learn from mistakes, and challenge themselves to deepen their understanding.

I hold M.Sc. and B.Sc. degrees in Computational Science and Engineering from ETH Zürich (2017), and a B.Sc. in Computer Science from the Hochschule für Technik Rapperswil (2009).
