Giuseppe Accaputo

I'm a Machine Learning Engineer and Educator who enjoys building machine learning systems and teaching people how to code.

As a Machine Learning Engineer at Sanitas Krankenversicherung, I combine software engineering and machine learning to build, evaluate, and maintain robust ML systems.

As an Educator, I lecture in Software Engineering and Machine Learning at the HWZ University of Applied Sciences and teach Python Programming at the University of Zurich. Most of my classes are aimed at beginners, so I focus on explaining things clearly, notice when someone is lost, and try to pass on my enthusiasm for the subject. Being a first-generation student myself, I know how much it matters to have a teacher who is approachable, welcomes every question, and still pushes you, and that's the kind of teacher I try to be.

I hold M.Sc. and B.Sc. degrees in Computational Science and Engineering from ETH Zürich (2017), and a B.Sc. in Computer Science from the Hochschule für Technik Rapperswil (2009).
